My name is Samuel Oh, currently a Junior attending Gyeonggi Suwon International School (GSIS) in South Korea, and it is my utmost honor to serve as your President for the Advisory Panel this year. As an experienced delegate and chair who has participated in over 10 conferences, MUN has been a vital learning experience for me and a unique opportunity to interact with different perspectives. Though speaking up on a podium to a group of strangers may appear daunting, I urge all of you participate in the debate; for truly, MUN can make us all into more informed and motivated global citizens. I am excited to hear the distinctive arguments each advisor will present on the most confounding issues of our modern times.
In the Advisory Panel this year, we will be covering the Situation in Venezuela, a crisis that holds regional and global significance.
In an increasingly polarised political landscape in our modern world, a thorough examination of the crises before us have never been more important. The financial, political, and humanitarian crisis in the state of Venezuela has devastated the nation, its people, and Latin America as a whole. It is of global urgence that a resolution come to place to alleviate the turmoil that envelopes the entire nation. I hope that all advisors will come to a consensus and learn from this pivotal issue.
Best of luck to all!
President of the Advisory Panel
